I got to be there when this beautiful little girl was brought into the world! Birth is such an amazing experience and to be able to be a part of it, taking pictures, is one of the most rewarding things you can do as a photographer.

I was so happy when Kelli had asked me to do Sienna's newborn portraits!
Sienna was a little older than most newborns I photograph (she was already at 3 weeks old), but that didn't stop her from being a rockstar!
She was pretty wide awake for the first little bit of her session (you know, just showing off her gorgeous eyes), but she soon fell asleep for me and we got some great poses out of her!

I got to photograph my first set of twins back in August! I was so thrilled! They were both perfect little angels for me and I'm so blessed to have met them :)

Boston is the third little baby I know that was born in the month of May! How funny is that? I can see how that name is so popular though and it totally suits him. (I LOVE his middle name as well: Oliver!)
Boston was SUCH a good little guy for picture day and his mom, aunt, and grandma were such amazing helpers!

Sweet sweet baby Naomi, why do you have to grow so fast? Naomi is now almost 2 months old and I'm just now getting around to posting these...oops!
Naomi was one of my hardest shoots to date (we rescheduled 3 times!). She's definitely got a little bit of red hair genes in her just like her brother! Good luck Jess, she's gonna be a little firecracker ;)

My sister was due to have her second child via c-section on May 9th. However, on April 30th, I ended up taking her into the hospital because she had some light spotting. Her doctor said that was not normal and if it continued he would need to do an emergency c-section.
So she stayed the night at the hospital and I had her son and my daughter for the night. I got a call the next morning that she would be having a c-section at 10 am! Were were all so excited but very unprepared!
She ended up going back for surgery later than planned because of another emergency c-section. We stood around waiting for the nurses to bring her to the nursery so we could all see the new baby, but we ended up waiting for about an hour.
At 11:13 am on May 1st, Naomi Kim Owen was born :) She weighed 6lbs 13oz and was 20 inches long.
The rest of the day we just passed her around and opened presents! It was a perfect day :)
The next day, big brother got to meet his cute baby sister! He was so sweet with her :)
