Charles and his family will always hold a special place in my heart.  Not a lot of people really know what a rainbow baby is, but I think this quote perfectly sums it up:

"A 'rainbow baby' is a baby that is born following a miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death or infant loss.  In the real world, a beautiful and bright rainbow follows a storm and gives hope of things getting better. The rainbow is more appreciated having just experienced the storm in comparison."
 

I loved the opportunity that I had to meet Charles and his amazing mom and dad.  They are the kindest, strongest, and most loving parents.  Congratulations on welcoming Charles into the world,  I know Callaway sent him just for you. ♥

 

It has been an amazing year and it's gone by too fast!  I still have yet to blog a few sessions, but I wanted to share this video with you all!

I hope 2016 is just as good to me as 2015!

One of the many reasons I love photographing newborns is all the snuggles I get during a session.  Such was the case during Rio's newborn session!  He was one tough cookie (I almost had my baby whisperer card revoked!) when after about an hour, he drifted off into dreamland. 

During his reveal session I got to snuggle him again and he had gotten SO big in just a few short weeks!  Thank you so much to Rio's mommy and daddy for bringing Rio to see me ♥

I love when I get to see past clients again and see how much they have changed.  I photographed Emma's big sis, Mia, last year!  Mia has grown SO much!  She is still pretty little and didn't have much interest in her new baby sister, but I'm pretty sure that will change as the two get older and become best of friends!

Just like her big sister was, Emma was pretty wide eyed for a good portion of her newborn session!  It's so cute how much they look alike, yet each take after one of their parents (I totally think Emma looks more like her mom)  ;)

I've been LOVING studio sessions lately!  Up here in Northern Utah, there are SO many beautiful outdoor locations including Snow Basin, Downtown Ogden, Antelope Island, etc., but something just keeps pulling me back to indoor studio shoots for these little ones!  It's also so much fun to play dress up with them!  I have a variety of clothing for my clients to choose from in sizes ranging from newborn to 6 years old!  Plus all the accessories a girl could ask for  ;)

Rylee came in for her ONE year session and she looked oh so beautiful in this lavender romper and bonnet set!  And the blue pants with matching headband?  Yeah, totally her color.  But nothing compares to those adorable little teeth and her 'light up a room' smile  ♥   Rylee, you are a doll!!  Can't wait for your next session!
