I was beyond excited to meet Anna & Claire for their newborn session!  Holding one 4 pound baby is incredible in itself, but to be able to hold two?!  Gah!  They were just so tiny!  Not to mention how adorable they both were!

Fun fact:  Anna & Claire are IDENTICAL twins!  Though their looks varied a little at their newborn session, it was still a challenge to tell them apart!  Luckily my assistant and I had a system in place so we would always know which one was which.  We started with Anna by herself and then added Claire for some portraits of them together.  Then we would take some photos of Claire by herself.  Not only did this help us keep track of who was who, it really helped with the flow of the session and allowed us to get all we needed in the allotted time we had.

Everyone at the session was so helpful to get the girls settled and happy in between portraits, as well as keeping mom relaxed!  Especially big brother Austin.  Can you tell that he is smitten with his new sisters?  Congratulations Buresh + Rutledge family!  Looks like you've got your hands (and hearts) full!

I don't think I took one bad picture of Isabelle.  In fact, I'm pretty sure that would be impossible!!  She has the most contagious smile and silliest faces!  What started out as a mini session turned into a full blown play date!

Isabelle brought her entourage including 2 grandmas and her gorgeous mommy!  We had a TON of fun dressing her up in my studio outfits and I think she loved it too!  Thanks for such a fun afternoon Izzy and Alexa!  ♥

As you may have noticed over on my facebook page, I have made the switch to studio lights!!!  I couldn't be happier to have such beautiful, consistent, creamy light!  Don't get me wrong, I have loved all my natural light sessions but I can't count how many sessions I've had to reschedule or push back due to a cloudy day.  It just really throws everyone's schedule off!

Carter was my first subject in front of my new light and he was oh so scrumptious! (Seriously, I could just nibble on those thighs!  He wasn't too fond of the big fur rugs I placed him on and mom told me he did NOT like grass at all.  We put him up on my little white chair and he was as happy as a clam!  Silly boy ♥

Eva 'the Diva' was even more mobile for her 1 year session (which she was actually 15 months old for!) and just ran and ran.  I love how curious they are at that age and always seem like they are in such a hurry to get anywhere.  It took a LOT of chasing after her to get these shots but I owe it all to her grandma!  She would run after her, make silly faces, jump up and down, and hoot & holler.   Eva is one lucky little girl!
